Helpful tips:

-When inserting wire into connectors or terminating wire. Cut one end longer than the other and ensure it’s clean with no stray wires sticking past insulation 

-always use sharp wire cutters and do not substitute them for something not made for cutting copper wire 

-add dielectric grease to connectors 

- properly seal and terminate ends to reduce shock and fire hazards
